Charleston, SC 2024 Bucket List
2024: A Year of Festivities in Charleston, SC
We couldn’t be more excited to usher in a New Year in our favorite city of Charleston, SC. And with that being said, we are looking forward to a host of things to come this year, since this historic city is always buzzing with excitement with a calendar full of festivals, events, and one of a kind experiences that you can only have in the low country.
An annual highlight for us has always been the world-amount Spoleto Festival, and this year Charleston’s stages will welcome it for the 48th year. This is truly a cultural arts experience that offers many performances to choose from including: theater, music, dance, and opera. It’s an absolute must attend event for anyone here locally and from afar.
Of course, for the outdoor enthusiasts, we are always a fan of SEWE Fest, which takes place each year in Francis Marion National Forest and at select locations on the peninsula like Marion Square. We love that it’s a celebration of nature conservation and an active outdoor lifestyle, and our top offerings are always the dog events and birds of prey demonstrations. It’s truly a gathering that fosters community and environmental stewardship and so we are all for the awareness this festival brings to protecting the local flora and fauna.
For the foodies out there, there is the annual Charleston Wine & Food Festival, which simply can’t be missed. This event offers gastronomy experiences such as tastings, wine pairings, cooking classes, and more. It truly gives you a sense of the diverse food scene that we get to partake in daily here locally. Also, for the foodies this will be the first year that the Food & Wine Classic comes to Charleston by way of Aspen, and we’re eager to check it out.
Music lovers also won’t be disappointed as this year brings many well-known artists to town including: Bonnie Raitt, Greta Van Fleet, Bryan Adams, Travis Tritt, and New Kids on the Block. Also, headlining High Water Fest is Hozier which will take place at Riverfront Park in North Charleston.
Finally, as a personal sports enthusiast, we can’t wait to participate in the Charleston Stingrays Pucks & Paws Event where dogs get to come check out the action. And of course there is always the option of a River Dogs Baseball Game and the Annual Charleston Tennis Open at Credit One Stadium on Daniel Island.
So get ready to usher in the New Year Charleston style, and gear up for a vibrant offering of events and experiences all year long. Don’t forget to follow along @coteluxeproperty, where we will be sharing our Monthly picks and for some behind the scenes from these events and more. Cheers to a year of adventure that awaits in Charming Charleston!
