Our Favorite Charleston Stays

There is simply nothing better than a night away in Charleston, and whether you are planning Spring Break or a mid-week staycation, our Holy City has something for everyone. From beachfront resorts to boutique hotels to sweet as a peach Airbnbs, check out our list for where to stay when visiting our city.

Downtown

Hotel Bennett

The ultimate in Southern Luxury right off of Marion Square. We love Hotel Bennett for its grand lobby and European piazza on the park. Oh and don’t forget the rooftop which is a great spot to catch a drink come sunset.

The Pinch

Tucked away just behind King Street with a sweet Southern charm, we think this petite retreat is the perfect home base to exploring all downtown has to offer. Oh, and don’t forget to check out The Quinte Oyster Bar and Lowland for a bite right next door.

Emeline

Always topping our list because we just can’t get enough of the courtyard, coffee shop, and restaurant in this hotel. And we love to bring our pup here, they even give sweet overnight packages for the dogs.

The Restoration

With a great rooftop bar and a mix of both luxury hotel suites and 2-3 bedroom apartments the versatility of this hotel right off of King Street can’t be beat.

The Dewberry

We’ve got a huge spot in our heart for “the Dewb”. We just can’t get enough of the mid-century modern meets Charleston design, the Citrus lounge rooftop bar, and the sanctuary spa offerings.

Zero George

A true standout on our list, because there’s just nothing much like it. This property is more of a Charleston residence courtyard, with rooms housed in the sweetest Charleston historic homes and a culinary experience that will delight the senses.

The Palmetto

Right in the heart of the restaurant and bar scene lies a newcomer on the scene, that we are tickled pink over. From the eclectic design elements to the sweet tea served daily, we love the reimagined space with a nod to Charleston’s roots.

Ryder Hotel

The scene here is all about the Little Palm poolside bar, and the hotel experience is laidback coastal surf chic, making it unpretentious, hip, and free-spirited.

Mills House

No list would be complete without a nod to the historic Mills House, which has graced the intersection of Queen and Meeting Streets since 1853. Come for the history in this pink hotel and stay for the ghost stories (we wonder do they really exist).

The Charleston Place

Lying at the epicenter of all the happenings in downtown, is the grand Charleston Place hotel. A true resort property offering not only stylish accommodations, but a full experience of shopping, restaurants, wellness, and events. Also, a Condé Nast “Best Hotels in the World”.

The Loutrel

Chic and classic is what we call the Loutrel. We love their sweet petite bar and intimate dining. Oh, and enjoy the lovely views from the rooftop terrace.

The Beach Club

Just over the bridge and along the harbor lies this sophisticated yet laidback spot with unparalleled views of the Charleston harbor and downtown.

The Sanctuary

5 Star Oceanfront luxury with the dining, spa and golf to prove it. You can’t beat the incredible attention to detail and the premium service at one of our favorite spots.

Post House Inn

Nestled in the heart of Old Village, this historic property is more of a B n B that allows you to settle right into the village lifestyle. And the restaurant is one of our ultimate favorites in town.

Seabrook Airbnbs

And we can’t mention all of the great places to stay without a shameless plug of our own boutique getaways on Seabrook Island. Choose from golf course or marsh side with all of the amenities you could want alongside 3.5 miles of pristine and private beach.

There you have it our short list of the best places to stay. Stay tuned as we welcome newcomers into town including: An Auberge Resort, The Dunlin, on the banks of the Kiawah River, The Lowline downtown on Columbus Street, A Four Seasons Hotel, Soho House, and The Cooper on the waterfront. Yippee! We are over the moon.

In the meantime, hit us up for all your Charleston questions, and of course real estate and interior design needs.
