Lowcountry Oyster Festival

If there’s one thing we all can agree upon here in Charleston, South Carolina, it’s that we sure do love our oysters. In fact, it’s no surprise that it would follow that the World’s Largest Oyster Festival takes place here in the Lowcountry in sunny Mount Pleasant each year. In fact, the event brings in 50,000 pounds of these salty bi-valve mollusks and roasts them on the grounds of Boone Hall.

The event also includes eating contests, oyster shucking, and live music from bands such as: Radio Bomb, Uncle Mingo, Blue Dogs, Solid Country Gold, and East Coast Party Band. There is also a beverage line up including speciality cocktails, wine, and beer, and a food court highlighting some of the best local restaurants in the area. And don’t forget the kiddos there will be a fun Children’s are, “Pluff-a-Palooza” just for them.

So, mark your calendars for Sunday, February 4, 2024, you won’t want to miss this!
