Design Project: Graceful Spaces Organizing x Cote Luxe
At Cote Luxe, we pride ourselves on partnering with the best local businesses to bring our clients exceptional service. Recently, we teamed up with Graceful Spaces Organizing of Charleston to transform a client’s kitchen pantry, transforming it into an organized and beautiful part of their home.
To give you a sense of the Graceful Spaces mission, they are a “boutique home organization studio with a heart for inspiring simplicity, serving Austin, Texas and Charleston, South Carolina, and the surrounding areas. Their team of professional home organizers believes in sparking creativity, inspiring habits that give the ongoing gift of time, and creating custom solutions to reduce stress in their clients’ everyday lives.” I first came into contact with Graceful Spaces when I met the lovely Christina Lee, who is 1 of the 2 lovely founders.
The project began with a thorough consultation where we assessed the client's design needs and goals. The pantry was overflowing and the space was neither optimized nor aesthetically pleasing. Together we decided to go with a coastal vibe and customized the space to fit all of the client’s kitchen top items like their blender, coffee maker, and other small appliances. We also assessed their typical stocked items to ensure that our shelving sizes matched what they would need to store. We topped it off with a butcher block counter which was both economical and allowed us to tie in the coastal elements, and finally built out a custom space for a wine fridge. Our client wanted a space that was not only organized but also easy to maintain and visually appealing, and we were thrilled with the transformed design.
That being said, we are just one piece of the design process, and we knew that any pantry that was going to Wow needed the help of Graceful Spaces Organizing. So, they brought their expertise and keen eye for detail to the project. They started by completely emptying the pantry, sorting through all the items, and categorizing them. This process revealed the sheer volume of unused and expired goods, which were promptly discarded or donated. The team then measured the space to determine the best configuration for shelves, bins, and storage solutions, and selected items that fit the client’s home aesthetic.
Next, they labeled all of the storage containers and bins, creating zones that mirrored the client’s daily routines. We love the clear bins, glass jars, and wicker baskets that were chosen to create a cohesive look while keeping items easily visible and refillable. They then arranged everything meticulously, according to the lifestyle habits of the client which both ensured that frequently stocked items were easily accessible and back stock was near by. The final result was a stunning transformation. The pantry which was once a space hidden behind closed doors and a constant source of stress became a beautiful place of peace and order. Our client was thrilled with the final product and appreciated the personalized touches and thoughtful arrangement which will now add efficiency to their day.
